CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, which is a non-euphoric extract from the cannabis plant. You do not get “high” from taking CBD, but you can achieve a relaxing effect, both in body and soul. THC which in cannabis causes the ”high” is less than 0.2% in our CBD products, and is within the limits of the EU regulations and does not give you a high. CBD oil contains no animal ingredients or animal products, and is therefore vegan. There is a lot of research into the effects of CBD, and almost every week new scientific articles appear that tell about the good health effects of CBD. Unfortunately, we who sell CBD products are not yet allowed to pass on the scientific information, but everyone is free to search for information on the Internet.
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is made from hemp. The hemp plant contains very little THC, so it is the most suitable plant from which to make CBD.
Hemp is one of the oldest crops in the world and has been used to produce clothing and paper for thousands of years.
Although there is no scientific evidence for all the effects, CBD is used by many because they feel that the products have a good effect against:
- Pain – all forms
- Inflammations
- Stress and anxiety
- Insomnia
- Depression
- Irritated skin
CBD does not in itself have a slimming effect, but it can help lower appetite, have an anti-inflammatory effect, improve hormone balance, balance blood sugar.
In these ways, the ingredient along with a good diet and exercise can help remove the extra pounds.
CBD is good for irritated and dry skin. CBD makes the skin less oily, which counteracts blackheads and dry and scaly skin. CBD also has an anti-inflammatory effect, which can prevent serious skin problems.
Unlike most medicinal products, which are made to counteract a specific disease or symptom, CBD affects the body’s own endocannabinoid system, EFC, which affects hundreds of bodily functions and can thus restore balance in the various organs.
Several studies point out here that an imbalance in the production of endocannabinoids, which we ourselves produce, can be the cause of many chronic and autoimmune diseases.
Endocannabinoids help the body activate a response if we become ill. If our endocannabinoid system (ECS) is inhibited by a bodily imbalance, then it has difficulty producing the endocannabinoids that help the body maintain normal immune function and a well-functioning central nervous system.
CBD oil also contains omega 3 fatty acids, omega 6 fatty acids and gamma-linolenic acid, all of which have a positive effect on blood pressure and skin appearance. It contains vitamin E in large amounts as well as vitamins B1 and B2 (riboflavin). Finally, important trace elements such as iron, potassium, calcium, copper, manganese, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus and zinc are naturally present in the oils.
No, and not a doping test either. CBD is not euphoric. In a drug test, you look for the substance THC which is also a cannabionide from cannabis, but which is not found in CBD. Therefore, CBD is allowed and legal in most countries.
Most people take CBD two to three times a day; morning, noon and evening. Many settle for twice; morning and evening.
It depends on what you are taking CBD for. If you have arthritis, you will probably take the drug several times a day. If you take CBD to sleep better, you will probably only take it in the evening.
Normally the effect will initially last 4-6 hours, but after a few weeks of use, the effect will usually last up to 12 hours. If you have been using CBD for an extended period of time, you will be able to detect CBD in your body for up to two weeks.
CBD is very safe.
Many scientific tests have been performed to detect the effect of CBD, and all have reported very few side effects. Where there have been a few side effects, these have been extraordinarily high doses – 600 mg per dose.
Moderate side effects may occur during the first 2 weeks such as dizziness, mild headache and nausea. A few experience flu-like symptoms as CBD oil has a cleansing effect on the body.
Others also experience in the start-up phases that the CBD oil cleanses out of the intestinal system, which is due to the fact that the CBD oil contains chlorophyll, which can have a cleansing effect on e.g. the intestinal system.
The short answer is no. Not even high dosages are dangerous. You may become slightly dizzy and careless so there are risks of injury if you consume too much. If you notice dizziness or disorientation, stay calm and wait for these sensations to pass. Next time, do not take such a large dose. As with any sort of consumption, if you feel something is wrong, contact a doctor.
If taking an overdose at any time can, in extreme cases, lead to diarrhea, dizziness, headaches, loss of appetite and excessive fatigue. People who know they are very sensitive should monitor their body closely when taking CBD for the first time as there can always be unwanted reactions even though the CBD oil is completely organic.
